Court ordered community service can be completed through volunteer work for the non profit organization,
We also provide assistance to struggling families by providing food, clothing and other assistance. We also have a food bank open to the community. No applications and no questions asked, through our Katie's Gift Facebook page.
Volunteers are the backbone of our organization. We offer a variety of opportunities for individuals and groups to get involved and make a difference in the lives of those we serve.
RACHEL BROWN, PRESIDENT
Rachel is our fearless leader and is one of the original founders of Katie's Gift, Inc. Rachel owns a business cleaning out estate sales and that is where much of the furniture, furnishings and home goods comes from. Rachel hails from Chattanooga, Tennessee.
CATHERINE BECKER, VICE PRESIDENT.
Catherine is the co-founder of Katie's Gift, Inc. and is the mother of the namesake of the corporation. She wanted to begin the organization so that she could help community members in need but also wanted to give her daughter, Katie, a purpose after rehab. She and her husband, Paul, live in Rossville, Georgia, along with Katie and her three children.
KATIE WOLFE, CHAIRPERSON AND NAMESAKE OF THE ORGANIZATION.
Katie battled addiction for over 14 years. In March, 2023, she hit her rock bottom and placed herself into an 18 month inpatient rehab. She was chair of her own 12 step meetings and obtained her drug counseling certification while she was at the rehab facility. Katie lives with her parents and her three children in Rossville, Georgia.
Cynthia "Cindy" Couey is a board member and lives in Soddy-Daisy, Tennessee. She fought her own addiction to alcohol for many years and has been sober for eight yearrs. Cindy is raising her grandaughter due to her own daughter's struggle with addictiion. Cindy is active in the AA programs in Chattanooga.
Margaret Fullam is our treasurer hailing from Chattanooga, Tennessee. Margaret tragically lost her daughter, Allyson on April 4, 2021 to an accidental overdose of fentynal. Margaret wants to give back to the community in Allyson's name.
Ron "Railroad" Moore is a board member. He was a drug dealer for several years until he found his higher power. He is a Christian rapper going under the name of "Railroad Muzik;" He is a minister, and enterpreneur, owning a record company, a shoe line, and more, and co-hosts a radio show. Buffy Rollins is a board member and hails from Soddy-Daisy, Tennessee. She is a foster parent and is excited to be a part of this mission.
Devin Hodge hails from Chattanooga, Tennessee, and is the lead singer in the band, Dayz of Deception, He and his band contribute their time to help out at the local women's shelters and provide assistance to the homeless in Chattanooga, Tennessee. We are excited to have his knowledge and his help in the organization.
The first fundraiser for Katie's Gift, Inc., will be held on September 14, 2024, in Ft. Oglethorpe, Georgia.
Allyson Fullam. Passed away on April 4, 2021 from an accidental oversdose of fentynal. She left behind a family who will never be the same. They have located the dealer who sold Allyson the pill that was laced with fentynal. We hope that justice will be served.
Katie Wolfe. Addicted to fentynal and methamphetamine for many years. She was incarcerated for 6 months for a felony theft charge. She lost custody of her children. Her youngest child was born addicted to methamphetamine. She hit her rock bottom, went to a residential 18 month rehab, had reconnected with her children and is a part of her family again.
This video was produced during Catherine Becker's stint as president of a non profit for grandparents raising grandchildren. However, it is important to this organization in reflecting how addiction affects the entire family system. Katie Wolfe, the namesake of this organization does a great job in telling us her side of the story as well.
